The second day of our ferry trip on the inside passage was raining. The highlight was that the captain decided to go from Wrangell to Petersburg via the Wrangell Narrows. This shows how wide the channel is and the member of the crew who was posted watch at the front.
Our stop at Juneau occured in the night, so we didn't see Juneau itself, however this is the sight of the glaciers that surround Juneau. A better ferrying day.
Haines is where we stayed and they had an excellent Museum which included the most amazing Native American weaving. (Hand spun mountain goat and plant fibre warp, mountain goat weft, hand twining. Amazing skills.)
A day trip to Skagway. The town in it's architecture is pure Alaskan, however, the businesses, streets, etc., have been hijacked by the cruise ships and they are all souvenirs and jewellery stores. Difficult to find a coffee shop!! Even for a tourist!
The Haines Highway, a daytrip out of Haines. What can I say, the car trip of all cartrips. One commentary I saw said, outrageously scenic, I concur.

Juneau, surprisingly nice, hugging the coast and climbing the hills. Stairs get you around.
